Upper Michigan- Lights & Falls

In August 2008 we took a road trip with our son Mike and daughter-in-law Cinnamon to Michigan's UP. Our goal was to explore the Lake Michigan shoreline, especially the Pictured Rocks National Seashore. What a beautiful area! I was happy to add several lighthouses to my "collection".

    Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse. The castle-like structure, whose design is unique in the Great Lakes, has been restored to its 1910 appearance. It is constructed of Cream City brick trimmed with Indiana limestone.
